EAA326 April 2016 Meeting

Norm - Treasurer report. We have just paid out $900 for last year and this year’s rental of the CAP building for our meetings. $4665.92 in Checking. $533.55 in savings (building fund).

DUES ARE DUE, please pay up.

TeenFlight - Kids have been out on spring break, but back at it starting yesterday. They are working on skinning the wings. Work has also started on the Cowling. Awaiting funding to finish up the final kits. The plan is to fly TF1 (RV12) back to Oshkosh this summer. The group is also looking for donations to help fund getting the kids back to Oshkosh so contact Kevin if you can help out. They are a 501C3 corporation and your donations are tax deductible, payable to “Teenflight Puyallup”. They will rent vans and take the group on a road trip.

EAA Air Academy sponsorship. Max Weliever has a strong interest in attending the camp. We have $500 in credits at EAA from our Young Eagles flights. The total cost is $1125 to attend the camp.

Dave - Memorial walkway, let’s get ready to build it. More updates next month.

Tom - Gave an update from a Tulip flyover from a few weeks ago. Tom, Brett, Scott, and Randy & Kerry flew up to check them out.

Project updates
Randy - RV8 - fuel tanks are sealed and ready to go
Greg - RV14 - Just passed the 1 year mark, finishing up the fuselage kit and ready to start on the canopy. Engine and Avionics are next up.

Ed S - F104 land speed - They will be doing an engine run at Shelton.

Tonight's program was all about the Samson Switchblade which is a "flying motorcycle". It was an interesting presentation given by the CEO / Founder about his project and all the unique design challenges they are solving with this new design of aircraft that can drive on the road as well.
