Hi Everyone,
Thanks for your patience this year with Young
Eagles. The policy changes at "HQ" were enough of a challenge
that we really didn't need to add a presidential TFR the morning of our event.
But such is our luck this year. At least the weather appears to be
favorable.
We plan to still meet at 8am this Saturday. If
you're flying in just get here when you can (call Flight Service to see if the
TFR is lifted earlier if you want). We will setup as planned at 8am at Spencers
and get kids signed in and through ground school so we're ready to rock-n-roll
as soon as the TFR is lifted or when it expires. We'll be a little behind
but I think we can catch up if all of the pilots are able to make it in fairly
quickly.
I was not planning to fly this year so I thought my
Cherokee would be available for the Ground School training. It appears I
will be flying for at least part of the day which means we need another
airplane for ground school. If you can bring yours please let me know.
