Ken’s Vision for the chapter

Notes / 2017 events:
  • We are tied with Deer Valley for the largest chapter in the state.
  • A new focus will be to bring in new members. Let’s be ready and welcoming to them to grow the chapter and expand our circle of friends.
  • Let’s get more people out to the RAM for our “second” monthly meeting. It’s a great opportunity to connect with people and have time to talk in an informal setting over dinner.
  • Provide some feedback. Ken wants to hear from you and what you want from the chapter. kcfinney@comcast.net (206-200-5188)
  • Board meetings. Let’s start having them again, quarterly. All are welcome to come and help guide the direction of the chapter.
  • Sign-in list for meetings to get a better sense of who the “regulars” are so we can take better care of members and contact ones that might be slipping away. We want you part of the family!
  • New members packet. Target is to have it ready before the NW Aviation Conference for any new members we get from there.
  • Handouts at the meetings, info from EAA national and other sources. Let’s get important info out to members they may have missed via other channels.
  • NW Aviation Conference is coming up the end of February. This will be our first public event of the year. Will need people to signup to help man the booth and meet and greet people at the show. If you have back issues of EAA magazines please consider donating them to hand out at the show. We are also looking for a project to display at the booth. (Maybe Andy H’s Kitfox, he will confirm by next meeting)
  • Young Eagles last Saturday in June.
  • Arlington Flyin / Airshow. The chapter camps out as a group and has a potluck burger burn on Saturday evening. The event is Thursday - Saturday.
  • Looking for all the chapter CFI’s that would be interested in doing some instruction for chapter members. Please contact Ken with your details. We would like to help connect students with instructors.
  • Joe Andre will be putting together a lending library documenting the materials that we have for members to borrow.
  • Looking for greeters to man the doors and help welcome people to the meetings.
  • Get out in front of the refreshments list. We need more help to fill out the list for the year!
