June 23rd is our
annual Young Eagles Day. This has always been a highlight for the Chapter
to share the love of flight with our community. With just over two months
to plan the event, we need to start signup for chapter members to help in the
various areas.
Foremost,
we need to decide very soon how many registrations to open up for the
day. Last year we had 150 registration spots, but a limited amount of
pilots compared to previous years. If you are planning to
fly Young Eagles this year, please respond back as soon as possible to
Kari, John and myself with how many passenger seats, and approximately when you
will be able to fly (all day, half day, etc...)
Also
needed is a plane for ground school and two volunteers to run ground
school.
Lastly,
we need help with food vending, passenger registration, ground crew, and
setup. If you can help, please respond, and/or signup at the next chapter
meeting.
