Students are on their spring break and will return Monday,
April 11th.
TeenFlight Build status on our TF3 aircraft:
Empennage/Tailcone is complete and ready to be riveted to
forward fuselage.
Main wiring in forward fuselage is nearly complete.
Wings skins are being riveted on and both flaperons are
competed.
The nose and main landing gears and wheels are assembled and
ready to install.
Fuel tank is currently being sealed/riveted.
The cowl is marked and ready for trimming for initial
fitting.
TeenFlight will be participating again at the Alaska Days
event on Saturday, May 21st. This will be our forth year and a great
opportunity for our students to teach hundreds of new kids on the basics of
riveting.
We will be flying our TF1 aircraft into SeaTac airport to be
put on display at the event. I would love to see the expressions on peoples
faces in the terminal and on the ramp as they see a small airplane painted like
a Alaska airlines aircraft taxiing by. ;-)
