“The
Final assembly had gone rather smoothly, until we discovered one of the coils
on the LSE Plasma III electronic ignition was bad. A few other snags
along the way, but we have an intact aircraft, approaching first engine start
any day now. Due to the monumental effort of Joe Andre, the digital
scales were delivered to my hangar at TIW. Thanks Joe! The aircraft empty
weight and CG is just about as expected. The RV-14s are pretty nose
heavy, but no real surprises. Incidentally, I have been very impressed
with the Tech support from Dynon. At any rate, we hope this collection of
aluminum will transform into an airworthy aircraft this month”.
